Thank you to all who participated in the play for the very dramatic performances this past weekend.

The Quiz Team fought hard during Friday's WCAL tournament. They lost to the 2nd place Bryan Bears in the first round but attempted to battle their way back through the loser's bracket. They were able to overcome Edon, scoring 150 points. Unfortunately, they lost to Montpelier in double-elimination. In individual scoring, Nathan Wieland earned 4th place! Congrats to our Quiz Bowl Team on a job well done!

Congratulations to the Food Science Team for placing 3rd at the District Contest last Thursday. Members are: Rachel Dickinson, Zakk Cammack, Ashtyn Sanders, Addison Smith, and Carlee Schaffner.

Also, congratulations to the District Job Interview participants: Carlee Scahffner, placed 5th in Division I; Ashtyn Sanders, placed 4th in Division II, Addison Smith, placed 11th in Division II, Bryce Peters, placed 2nd in Division III, and Zakk Cammack, placed 8th in Division IV.

Juniors and Seniors: Defiance College will have a rep here today during Academy in the HS conference room.

Parli Pro Team will have practice today and tomorrow during Academy and lunch. The contest is this Wednesday. The bus will leave at 8:00 am.

Starting today the high school and junior high locker rooms will be locked from 8am-3pm

Starting tomorrow all cell phones and smart watches.will not be allowed during the school day. They must be turned off and either in your locker or in your car.

Tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 is our Veteran’s Day program. You are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue in honor of the Veterans who will be attending. Also, those who drive to school are to park over by the bus barn tomorrow morning to allow more parking for the veteran’s coming to the program.

This Wednesday morning, November 12, there will be a 2-hour delay for a teacher inservice.

The Cross Country Awards program will be held this Thursday at 6:30 in The Commons.

You will be announced out of class at 11:15 for a picture.

Congratulations to Zia Siegel for placing 3rd in Division 1 Food Products and Processing Systems in the National Agriscience Fair this past Thursday! She also won a $500 scholarship and a Gold Rating on her project. Thank you to all the Hilltop Staff who helped her, supported her, and cheered her on throughout her project!

Congratulations to the new members of the Hilltop National Honor Society! They will be inducted next Tuesday, November 11 at 8:00 in the Commons. Congratulations to Zia Siegel for placing 3rd last night at the National FFA Convention for her agriscience project in Food Systems Division 1. Also, tomorrow morning at convention Ingrid Hoffman and Sam Cox will receive their FFA American Farmer Degree.

There are a few boxes of Kripsy Kremes left in Mr. Schaper's room. We are selling these this morning for just $10 per dozen.

Sophomores: Report to the study hall room 218 today during Academy with your chromebooks to meet with Mrs. Bonney about Four County.

Any high school boys interested in stunting with the cheerleaders this upcoming basketball season, please sign up in the office today.

JH Student Council You will be recyling today. See Mrs. Fidler during Academy for your trash bags.

Participants should arrive at school by 1:30 to warm up. Don't forget a water bottle. There will not be a concession stand. Parents, students, friends and family are welcome to come watch!

While eating breakfast in the mornings in the cafeteria, be sure to pick up any trash that you have, and please show respectful behavior. No food is to be taken out of the cafeteria to the classroom.

Any high school boys interested in stunting with the cheerleaders this upcoming basketball season, please sign up in the office by tomorrow.

The donuts have arrived. All sophomore salespeople need to come sort out their orders as soon as they can.

The football awards program will be next Tuesday, November 4 at 7:00 in the JH gym.

A wallet was found in the high school upstairs boys’ restroom. Stop in the office to claim it.

Powder puff and Iron Man shirts are in. They are $12. Please bring money to the office to pick up your shirt.

Games are this Sunday. Powder Puff begins at 2pm and Iron Man begins at 4pm. Participants should arrive at school by 1:30 to warm up. Don't forget a water bottle; there will not be a concession stand. Parents, students, friends and family are welcome to come watch!
