Congratulations to the Varsity Girls' Basketball Team for their victory over Edgerton on Saturday in the district championship game!  The team will next play in the regional semi-finals against Ottoville HS on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 6PM.  The game will be played at Elida High School Field House.

Millcreek-West Unity Local School District recently was designated a **HEART SAFE SCHOOL** by Nationwide Children's Hospital for the successful implementation of a quality sudden cardiac arrest program.  The program is built on awareness, screening, training, and effective emergency response.  The picture shows members of the district's emergency response team receiving the designation banner after successfully conducting a cardiac response drill for Project ADAM Ohio representatives.

**<u>Announcements – Hilltop High School – Monday, April 14, 2025 </u>**

**There will be no chef salads available this week in the cafeteria.**

**<u>Sophomores, Juniors, &amp; Seniors:</u>** This Wednesday morning you will be going to the fairgrounds for the mock crash. Dress appropriately. You might want to take something to sit on. The bleachers will be cold.

**<u>Those attending prom:</u>** All prom money and post prom waivers are due to the office this Thursday.

**<u>Grades 8-11:</u>** Check your email to sign up for a new class Mrs. Freado is offering next school year. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Freado or Mrs. Fidler.&#x20;

The Little League is seeking student volunteers to help at the concession stand this summer. It's a great opportunity to earn community service hours toward your graduation requirements. If you're interested in helping, please see Ms. Sauder or Mrs. Gerig.&#x20;

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the March Madness Reading Challenge! A total of 160 students and teachers participated, logging an impressive 90,095 minutes of reading — that’s an average of 9.5 hours per person!

Congratulations to Señora Herrera’s Academy for winning the pizza party and to Mr. Z’s academy for earning a popcorn party!

Special shoutout to **Jazmyn Castillo-Edelman** and **Ivan Barton**, who read the most minutes in Junior High and High School — they each received gift cards for their outstanding efforts.

Also, congratulations to the varsity softball team for their win over Liberty Center yesterday 19-7.

Today's varsity baseball and softball games scheduled here with Stryker have been postponed due to cold weather. Make-up dates will be announced later.

**Grades 8-11:** If you are interested in joining the Cadet Chorale next year, auditions will be held this week during Academy. Sign up for an audition time at Mr. B’s door.
